I love teaching (young kids, university students, scientists, etc.) almost as much as I love reporting and writing. When I can juggle both roles I feel most fulfilled, challenged and inspired.
University instructor: I taught reporting classes as an adjunct instructor at the University of Colorado, Boulder, for seven years in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, from 2002 to 2009.
Science Communication Instructor: I am available to facilitate and teach science communication workshops for early- and mid-career scientists. Among those I have co-facilitated are through Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea (COMPASS) and the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network. I also have also taught media communication workshops for technology companies.
